If you’d ever like to have an application on your phone that allows you to browse to, view, or delete any file on your phone, or if you’d like a simple way to move files or install/delete applications, then Root Explorer is an excellent program for this. Although it is a Donate-Only (£1.90 or approx $2.87) app, it is an excellent app and very easy to use. I have had quite a bit of personal experience with this application and I’d love to say that it has enabled things to happen smoother for me , and made it simpler to get things done for me too, such as moving a file from one directory to another, or deleting system apps from my phone after I flash a custom ROM, and even installing apps that I’ve transferred to my SD card.

If you use apps2sd, this is also an excellent program that enables you to delete that applications that are installed to your SD card, too! It’s as simple as navigating to /system/sd/app and long-pressing the file you want to delete, then selecting ‘delete’ from the option that pops up.

For system files, if you have any experience with altering those from rooting your phone, you’ll know that the system has to be remounted as read/write in order to alter files in there. Well, with the quick tap of the button on the top of the app, your system is now in read/write mode. Done with messing with system files? Tap the button to go back into read-only mode. Beautiful, eh? I think so.
