For those users of HTC Hero custom ROMs who cannot get the ‘Get More HTC Widgets’ link to load correctly, here are the apps for you, finally! There are two versions, one set of apps were download using a test-keys ROM, and one set was downloaded while using a release-keys ROM, both Android 2.1. To check what keys your ROM is using, you should be able to go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information. If there isn’t a part that says release-keys or test-keys, you may want to ask us or check with the developer of the ROM you’re running to find out what version of Android 2.1 you are using.

Now, for these downloads. Once you figure out what keys your ROM is using, download the appropriate file below. Then, follow the instructions below the downloads section to get the apps installed.

Once you’ve downloaded the version of HTC Widgets that you need, please unzip that file you just downloaded, then copy each application that you want installed, onto your SD card. Then, with any File Manager of your choice, you can install the apps! Enjoy!
