If you’re currently getting a message “trial has expired” for Swype and you’re using Hazardous Eclair 2.0 Final ROM, then here’s a fix for you. Download the corresponding ZIP file that you want to download, then place the ZIP on your SD card, and flash it from recovery.

Due to the Sprint HTC Evo coming out on June 4th and this developer’s purchase of it, DamageControl will no longer be updated for the Sprint HTC Hero, but this is the final build that he did release after the actual Android 2.1 release was finally rooted.

In version 2.09 the following changes were made, all coming from v2.08 and prior versions:

• All current tweaks moved from v2.08 to v2.09 onto the final Android 2.1 build
• Live Wallpapers (with almost everything removed)
• Helix Launcher included (because of signing issues with launcher.apk)
• Added a new DConfig, which fixed many bugs
• Fixed Lockscreen (Go into DConfig and disable stock lockscreen)
• Custom music.apk with great widgets and fixes the music button in vanilla lockscreen
• ROM is deodexed for any theming

It is recommended that you wipe Data, Dalvik-Cache if you’re coming from a leak build (DC v2.08 or earlier)

This ROM is an update from the previous DamageControl version. The main changes in this version are as follows:

This update can be flashed over your existing installation of DamageControl, but if you run into any issues such as a boot loop or anything, please wipe your phone, clear Dalvik-Cache, and try again!

If you’re missing an app that normally comes with Sprint Heros, download the ZIP below to get those apps back. Unzip the folder, and push the apk’s to /system/app. Put the apk that you want, into your SDK tools folder, then enter the following commands into a command prompt once you get to the folder where the SDK is installed.

1) adb remount
2) adb push (name of apk1).apk <- without ( )
3) adb push (name of apk2).apk
-repeat this for however many apps you want to install. ON THE LAST ONE, or if your only want ONE APP, enter this command:
4) adb push (name of apk3).apk /system/app
5) adb reboot

This will push all of the apk’s you chose, to the /system/app folder of your phone, where you are now able to use them after reboot!

DOWNLOAD DamageControl v2.06 Lite Update

Hey everyone! I have a beautiful update for you guys running DamageControl v2.06 Lite. This update can be flashed over the current installation of my DC 2.06 Lite, and does not require a wipe. What this does is moves a bunch of audio files from the phone’s internal memory to your SD card, to free up even more space inside of your phone!

DISCLAIMER: I do not take responsibility for your errors if you do not follow the instructions below!

You need to mount your SD card to your computer and back up anything inside of the Media folder that you want to keep, because this update will erase the folder and it’s contents, then rewrite the folder and add the sounds files to it.

The Phone’s UI sounds are left on the phone, for speed reasons mainly.

So, after you make a backup of anything you want to save out of your Media folder inside the SD card, you need to do a nandroid for general purpose. Then once you nandroid, throw this update onto the root of your SD card, bot into recovery and flash the zip.
